A small selection of large format (5 x 4 inch) colour photographs on film have been reproduced as limited edition dye transfer prints. Dye transfer is the most luminous, beautiful and permanent of all pre-digital colour printing methods. It is still regarded by many as ‘the ultimate’ in photographic print quality. Each print was meticulously hand made using traditional analogue (wet, darkroom) materials and techniques in 1990-91 — just before the manufacture of dye transfer materials was discontinued by Kodak. Consequently, the remaining dye transfer prints in this limited edition selection are unique and precious objects. Each print is signed and numbered.
These images are also available as inkjet prints.
