The images of deep space were re-created on the dry bed of Lake Tyrrell in the Victorian Mallee in 2009 by exposing photographic films to the naked light of the moonless night sky passing directly through old glass-plate astronomical negatives. In 2022 each of the starlight-exposed films were cut into a circle and laser-engraved with digital photographs of flying ravens hunting Bogong moths made by the artist a few years earlier at The Horn, Mount Buffalo.
