The Ravens, 2022
Three toned gelatin silver shadowgram films exposed by starlight laser engraved with photographic imagery, each enclosed in a Mylar envelope. Unique objects
These images of deep space were re-created on the dry bed of Lake Tyrrell in the Victorian Mallee by exposing photographic films to the naked light of the moonless night sky passing directly through old glass-plate astronomical negatives. Each of the films was then laser cut into a circle and engraved with imagery derived from camera photographs recording flying ravens hunting Bogong moths at Mount Buffalo.
